A powerfully galvanizing war film like no other “Mrs. Miniver” I first saw “Mrs. Miniver” on the big screen at a repertory movie house while in college and was so taken by it and its star Greer Garson, that both became favorites. Evidently my reaction wasn't unique, for upon its original release Garson became a top star and the film became a resounding worldwide success and the highest grossing film in the US and Canada up to that time.
